When highschool was the only world I knew...

With Susan and Viv, at the boat dance on grad night.
I'm so tired in this picture as our grad night lasted until 5 am as most do...

Ashlea! humoring me, by holding up a star.

With Jessica, Caitlin, Tara, and Liriel, pre-graduation in the gym.
Don't we look like we're getting married?
One father commented that the ceremony looked like a mass wedding, with 74 brides, 0 grooms.

Summer '97 visiting Berkeley, before senior year.
I'm not really as fat as that. It's the clothes that don't fit me, not vice versa.

Running in Santa Monica with Uwi.
Those were the days.It was some sight, to see all 20 of us on the team run down to Noah's, near the pier. Cross-country taught me that good bagels taste even better when your coach pays for them!

With Stephanie, Noelle, and Colleen, after Junior Ring Ceremony, which initiated us as seniors.
I made the silver ring Candace put on me that night.
But I don't regret not participating in the after-ceremony activities, some of which resembled sorority oh-what's-the-word.

With Claire and Colleen, after 9th Grade Pin Ceremony.
'twas a graduation of sorts, as 10th grade marked the beginning of highschool.

Miscellaneous:

With Jane and friends, at Knotts Berry Farm, circa '91.
Notice my bulky, pink-and-white, chiffon-laced LA Gear sneakers,
which were all the rage then.

dearest lily, who passed away a week after I went to Berkeley.
When I came home for Labor Day weekend, I went outside looking for her.
But only Peanut was there, looking sad.
And that's when they told me she died...

So after they dropped me off at the airport on Labor Day,
they went and got a new Rottweiler we call Jackie,
also known as Bear (gom), because all the fat thing ever does is eat and sleep.

Oh, did I mention how slow Bear is?
Lily and Peanut learned all the usual doggie tricks like most dogs,
but Bear still doesn't know them, after much effort...

With Lisl, Colleen, and Claire, after we finally graduated.
(Well not Lisl, who just graduated)
